Six years ago we became new home owners. Starting a new chapter in our lives in our new home had us giddy with excitement. We eagerly moved around furniture, bought new decor and painted endless walls and ceilings to suit our taste. I spent that entire summer cutting edges, avoiding getting paint on the crown molding and learning about correct painting techniques. Although the final product was rewarding, the process became tiring. After being on all fours, trying to get the area behind the toilet painted, I vowed to myself I would never paint again.
Fast forward to a few months ago. As much as I loved the periwinkle blue and the ocean-themed decor I had chosen for our bedroom, I wasn’t loving it anymore. So, I decided to…paint! I knew this time I wanted white walls, as they make the perfect blank canvas. Walking into the paint store with great confidence in my decision, I was surprised to find not one white color, but at least twenty different shades! To say I was a bit naive as to what I was getting myself into is an understatement. However, I stuck with my mission and started looking for the perfect white. Continue Reading
