Fall Cardigan: The Best You Will Find

Friends, I have found the best fall cardigan from Nordstrom. It’s so good, I own it in two colors. Oh, and did I mention it is less than fifty dollars? I love it so much, I am considering buying it in black and light grey as well.

I discovered this cardigan during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and fell in love immediately. Here is why: the cardigan is lightweight, the perfect length and well, pockets. Any cardigan that has pockets is an A+ in my book! This fall cardigan works great over a t-shirt for the transition months when the weather is still a bit warm. By the same token, it’s great over a button-up blouse or turtleneck for when the weather cools. The colors are perfect for fall and pair well with other earth-toned fall colors.

Fall Cardigan in Green

Currently, the weather in Southern California is a bit warm. So, I am pairing this green cardigan with a white t-shirt, cuffed denim and brown ankle booties to give off fall vibes all whilst feeling comfortable. The rich brown tone of the booties pairs well with the rich green tone of the cardigan. I went with dark denim to give a slimming effect to my bottom half. A good rule of thumb to follow is to pair a bulky top with a slimming bottom. Dark denim is always slimming and therefore looks great with oversized sweaters and long cardigans.

Fall Cardigan in Burgundy

As long as I can remember, burgundy has been my favorite fall color hands down. The richness and the warmth it adds to the complexion is simply stunning. It is a true fall color! Being that burgundy is a rich color, I chose to pair this cardigan with a neutral grey ankle bootie and the same white t-shirt. I also kept the dark pair of denim to balance out the oversized cardigan.

These cardigans look great over a fitted dress, like the one I mention in this post or layered over a plaid shirt dress with ankle boots. In the winter, I will wear these cardigans with black leggings and brown boots or black knee-high boots. There are lots of outfit possibilities with these cardigans. They can be your go-to fall cardigan as well as your perfect layering piece for winter. Ready to shop them and support Playing Dress Up All Day at the same time? Click the links below!
