I’ll be the first to admit that there are some clothing items in my closet that are very “teacherly”. When I tried on this sweater blazer from J.Crew, I knew it was the perfect addition to my teacher wardrobe. I felt scholarly and polished! Even my friend/photographer commented this is the perfect teacher blazer. As an educator, it is important to look professional and put together, so this style is a definite fall must-have in my book! Thank goodness over-sized denim jumpers layered with abc-patterned blouses are now a thing of the past. Otherwise, my teacher style would never make it on the blog!
One reason I love this blazer is it is 100% merino wool. It is soft, not itchy, and will keep you warm on cool fall days. Also, the thicker material helps it to hold its structured shape. This sweater blazer looks equally as great with jeans as it does with a skirt and heeled mules. Also, in the words of Jenna Lyons’ (the J.Crew aficionado herself), “I don’t wear black much – it doesn’t work well with color – but I’ll wear navy all day long.” Since this blazer is navy, it can be worn with all different colors: cranberry, mustard yellow, orange, the list goes on and on. Due to this fact, I plan on wearing this sweater blazer often, as it will pair well with a lot of my clothing items I already own. It’s a wardrobe staple and a classic piece that will never go out of style!
