To all my ladies who work endless hours and work hard day in and day out, I have found the perfect work dress for you! Long gone are the days of stuffy business attire. Blazers are more tailored, dresses more flattering and thank goodness panty hose are no longer required! However, it’s important in our daily work that we still look professional and respectable. No matter what business you are in, people respond to you with higher regard if you are put together. Also, don’t you feel more powerful and in control when you put on your “big girl” shoes and a power outfit? I know I do!
That’s why this perfect work dress caught my attention immediately. The silk polka dot ruffle tank adds the perfect amount of femininity to the classic a-line black skirt. You don’t have to worry about the perfect tuck or what top to wear since it’s an all-in-one. Therefore making it much easier to get yourself out the door in the morning! As a result, you spend time awing everyone with your business skills instead of spending all your time in your closet and never getting the opportunity to let you inner boss girl shine!
Something else I love about this dress is the pockets. If you’ve been a reader for awhile, you know I love pockets on my sweaters, dresses, jeans, really anywhere! I don’t know about any of you, but I often don’t know what to do with my hands. When excited, I flail them all over the place while I talk. When I’m not using them to be expressive, I always find myself putting them in my pocket. Do any of you do this?
Another reason I love this perfect work dress is its a great transitional piece. Throw on a long cardigan, like this one, and a pair of ankle booties and your ready for fall! Add a loose-fitting sweater and knee-high boots for a winter look, a denim jacket and peep toe booties for spring or wear alone for summer. The potential pairings are endless!
Finally, this dress is from J.Crew. So, of course, it’s perfect in my book!
