“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” -Coco Chanel
My everyday style is classy, but to make it fabulous, I always add an interesting piece of jewelry. Some days I reach for a delicate gold necklace, other days, a fun, sparkly statement necklace grabs my attention. My choice always depend on what look I am trying to achieve and how much I want my students to focus! (They LOVE sparkly things!)
Although I have an assortment of necklaces, sometimes I find myself tired of my options and left wishing I had something different or better to pair with the day’s outfit. This usually results in some online shopping, browsing different stores, adding jewelry to my cart, thinking about the pieces, walking away to make dinner, taking the dog for a walk…forgetting the jewelry is in my cart until I return to my closet the following day and start the cycle all over again. I am sure a lot of you can relate! Well, I found the perfect solution to this conundrum!
What is Rocksbox?
Rocksbox is a jewelry subscription box. At first I was hesitant to try it out, because I didn’t really understand how it worked. I thought you paid a monthly fee for so-so jewelry that you were then forced to keep. Thankfully, I was wrong! After scouring through some fellow blogger friends’ Instagram feeds, I learned that Rocksbox works the following way:
- You take a style survey so a team of stylists get to know your jewelry preferences.
- You get 3 pieces to wear on loan and are paired with a stylist who curates a box of jewelry based on your likes.
- When you are ready to change it up, you send back your box and swap it out for a new one.
- Add items to your jewelry wish list any time to ensure your stylist can always send what you love!
Rocksbox carries jewelry from 30+ designers, giving access to an amazing assortment of collections to suit all tastes. One item I really wanted to try was a Kendra Scott tassel necklace. My stylist, Emily, listened and included this piece in my box. I fell in love with this necklace and have worn it many times. The lighter gold tassel makes it a great necklace for summer and the slate-color stone means I can wear this necklace with just about any outfit.
The second item in my box was a Sophie Harper pave necklace. Emily thought this would be a great layering piece and I agree! This necklace looks great layered with the tassel necklace and is equally beautiful on its own.
The last item I received was a pair of Kendra Scott rose quartz earrings. Although I like to change up my necklaces often, I am not nearly as adventurous when it comes to earrings. Most days you will find me wearing my pearl studs, but I am trying to push myself to wear statement earrings more often. Especially for special events or when I wear my hair up. Therefore, I like that I can try out a pair of statement earrings, like these Kendra Scott ones, without having to invest in them. I really like the soft pink color of these earrings and their classic design.
How Much Is a Box and How Do I Sign Up?
Rocksbox costs $19 a month. When you think about how much money we typically spend on jewelry that we might only wear once or twice, $19 a month for three pieces is a steal! If you fall in love (like I have) with one or all of your pieces, you buy them at a special discount price offered exclusively through Rocksbox.
I really love this jewelry subscription box and strongly believe you will love it just as much. However, before you fully commit, I want you to try it for free! So, head over to rocksbox.com, fill out your preferences survey and use the code playingdressupalldayxoxo to get one month free. I can’t wait to hear what jewelry arrives in your box!
